Football Game Preview: New Designs Watts Knights vs. Polytechnic Panthers

The New Designs Watts Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Polytechnic Panthers at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. New Designs Watts has given up an average of 45.8 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

New Designs Watts is headed into Saturday's matchup looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight games last Friday. They came up short against Valley Oaks CES, falling 50-30.

New Designs Watts might have lost, but man, Jerimiah May was a machine: he rushed for 82 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 138 yards and one touchdown. Another big playmaker for the Knights was James Garcia, who returned a punt for a touchdown.

Polytechnic not only won two weeks ago, but they posted their biggest win since September 13, 2024 (when they won 46-7). They breezed past Francis Parker to the tune of 52-22. The high-scoring effort was just what the Panthers needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

New Designs Watts' loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for Polytechnic, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
