Volleyball Recap: Stroudsburg Comes Up Short

After flying high against East Stroudsburg South on Wednesday, Stroudsburg came back down to earth. The Mountaineers came up short against the Delaware Valley Warriors on Saturday, falling 3-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mountaineers of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Stroudsburg was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-17, 25-13.

Despite the defeat, Stroudsburg saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kamila Wszolek had seven digs and four aces.

Stroudsburg's loss dropped their record down to 6-11-1. As for Delaware Valley, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Stroudsburg has already played their next match, a 3-0 defeat against Pocono Mountain West on the 6th. As for Delaware Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-2 loss against Holy Redeemer on the 7th.
