Volleyball Recap: DSST: Montview Comes Up Short

DSST: Montview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the DMLK Panthers. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Abagail Yohannes paced DSST: Montview's offense, picking up 19 kills. Yohannes got some help from Jamie Ladner and her 31 assists. Sydney Connors controlled things from the service line, finishing with seven aces.

DSST: Montview's defeat dropped their record down to 6-13. As for DMLK, their win ended a six-match drought on the road and puts them at 3-12.

DSST: Montview didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Lincoln on the 24th. As for DMLK, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Montbello on the 24th.
