Recap: Silverado Skyhawks vs. Sierra Vista Mountain Lions
The Silverado Skyhawks managed to keep up with the Sierra Vista Mountain Lions until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Silverado's rough 53-31 defeat to Sierra Vista might stick with them for a while. Silverado has not had much luck with Sierra Vista recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Silverado's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aerial Canilas, who scored ten points along with four steals. Canilas is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last three games she's played. Christina Stowers was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with six rebounds.
Silverado's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Sierra Vista, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-5.
Silverado does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Sierra Vista also has no future games currently scheduled.
