Volleyball Recap: Timberline Takes Down Kelso in a Playoff Battle

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Timberline walked away with it. They came out on top against the Kelso Hilanders by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The victory was familiar territory for the Blazers, who have now won three contests in a row.

Timberline had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-13, 26-24, 25-22.

Jovie Lind was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 33 digs and three assists. Those 33 digs gave her a new career-high.

Timberline's win bumped their record up to 26-7-1. As for Kelso, they moved to 9-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Timberline didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 defeat against Mt. Spokane on the 21st. Kelso does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
