Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mercy). They put the hurt on the Ralston Rams with a sharp 9-0 win on Saturday. It was an even better day for Melina Nelson as she scored three goals for her team.

The victory made it two in a row for Mercy and bumps their season record up to 8-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those two contests. As for Ralston, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-5.

Coming up, Mercy will take on Burke at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ralston, they will face off against Nebraska City on Tuesday. Ralston are facing Nebraska City at the right time seeing as Nebraska City are stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
