There's no place like home for Austin, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Decatur Red Raiders on Friday. Considering the Black Bears have won 12 matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Khalilah Mason, who scored three runs and stole three bases while going 4-for-4. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1 stolen bases per game. Another player making a difference was Arden Breedlove, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Austin always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .750. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

With the win, Austin broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 25-12-1. As for Decatur, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-25.

Austin wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 4-1 victory against Priceville on the 12th. Decatur has also already played their next game (against Danville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
