Softball Recap: Roosevelt Comes Up Short

Roosevelt lost to Cleveland last Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Roughriders lost 20-6 to the Warriors. The Roughriders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Elliot Neves was cooking despite her team's loss, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashley Barnard, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 4-22. As for Cleveland, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record this season.

Roosevelt has already played their next contest (against Franklin), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Cleveland, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 10-5 victory against Ida B. Wells on the 15th.
