Volleyball Recap: Tracy-Milroy-Balaton Takes a Loss

Tracy-Milroy-Balaton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 3-1 to the Canby Lancers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Panthers of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

The final score came out to 25-23, 20-25, 25-14, 25-16.

Canby's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alexa Vernlund, who had nine digs and two aces. Those nine digs gave Vernlund a new career-high. Emily Nelson also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Tracy-Milroy-Balaton's defeat dropped their record down to 5-13. As for Canby, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-8 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Tracy-Milroy-Balaton will venture away from home to face off against Apple Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Canby, they will head out to square off against Lakeview at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
