Andrew Jackson is 0-3 against Bolles since September of 2015 but things could change on Friday. After each having a week off, the two teams will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Having struggled with three losses in a row, Andrew Jackson turned things around against Wolfson last Friday. They strolled past the Wolfpack with points to spare, taking the game 44-30. The Tigers pushed the score to 44-18 by the end of the third, a deficit the Wolfpack cut but never quite recovered from.
Andrew Jackson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Hampton, who rushed for 101 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries. Antonio Queen also helped out as he racked up 113 rushing yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Andrew Jackson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 350 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Another reason for the win was Andrew Jackson's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: Johnny Miller, Charles Ward, and Laterrance McKenzie, who each picked up one sack apiece. Irvin Williams got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bolles). Everything went their way against Baldwin last Friday as they made off with a 73-49 victory. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won four matchups by 23 points or more so far this season.
Andrew Jackson better keep an eye on Xander Edwards. He was instrumental in Bolles' win, rushing for 522 yards and eight TDs while picking up 13.4 yards per carry. Edwards' longest rush was for an incredible 77 yards. Bolles also got help from Naeem Burroughs, who showed off his sure hands for 111 receiving yards.

Bolles' record is now 5-1. As for Andrew Jackson, the win got them back to even at 3-3.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Andrew Jackson has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 177.3 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Bolles struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 272.2 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's game turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Andrew Jackson might still be hurting after the 26-0 defeat they got from Bolles when the teams last played back in October of 2024. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Edwards, who rushed for 168 yards and a pair of scores. Now that the Tigers know the damage he can cause, will they be able to stop him this time? There's only one way to find out.
