Baseball Recap: Fairfield Union Comes Up Short

Fairfield Union came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss on Wednesday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Circleville Tigers by a score of 4-2 on Thursday. The defeat continues a trend for the Falcons in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost five in a row.

Fairfield Union saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Garrett Dilcher, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. That triple was Dilcher's first of the season.

Fairfield Union's loss dropped their record down to 8-6-1. As for Circleville, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season.
