The Cazenovia Lakers will take on the Jordan-Elbridge Eagles at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Cazenovia is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.

East Syracuse-Minoa hit Cazenovia with a five-run second inning last Monday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Lakers lost 12-4 to the Spartans.

Irie Gallerani spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and ten unearned) runs on 11 hits.

At the plate, Cazenovia saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Gianna Comino, who went 2-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. That double was Comino's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Jordan-Elbridge was able to grind out a solid victory over Weedsport on Monday, taking the game 5-2. The Eagles haven't had any issues with the Wolverines recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Abby DelFavero was a major factor no matter where she played. She struck out 12 batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off six hits (and only one walk). DelFavero was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.

Jordan-Elbridge's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Cazenovia, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Cazenovia skirted past Jordan-Elbridge 1-0 in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Will the Lakers repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
