Football Recap: James Island Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

James Island extended their postseason success on Friday against Stratford. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Knights 45-42. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Trojans have posted since September 6, 2024.

Connor Dantzler was his usual excellent self, throwing for 433 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.0 yards per attempt, and also punching in one score on the ground. Those 433 passing yards gave him a new career-high. Raphael Puiu was Dantzler's top target, picking up 207 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

The victory was the sixth in a row for James Island, bringing their record up to 12-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 44.3 points over those games. As for Stratford, with the loss, they broke their ten-game winning streak and moved their record to 10-2.
