Basketball Game Preview: Bard Falcons vs. Idea Timberwolves

The Bard Falcons will challenge the Idea Timberwolves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Bard can't be too happy about their upcoming road matchup considering what happened when they opened their season away from home on Tuesday. They took a 55-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of KIPP DC Legacy College Prep.

Bard's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Travoda Jagne, who shot 50% from the field en route to 21 points, and Tony Evans, who posted nine points in addition to five boards and three steals. Andre Wright was another key player, putting up seven points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Idea scored the most points they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 69-53 bruising from Washington Leadership Academy. Timberwolves fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Knights since Thursday.

Bard suffered a grim 55-32 defeat to Idea in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can the Falcons avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
