Softball Game Preview: Big Sandy Wildcats vs. Alba-Golden Panthers

The Big Sandy Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Alba-Golden Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Big Sandy has given up an average of 9.6 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Big Sandy's offense. They lost 16-0 to Como-Pickton on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Wildcats in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost six in a row.

Meanwhile, Alba-Golden came up short against Edgewood on Tuesday and fell 7-3.

Alba-Golden's defeat dropped their record down to 15-11-1. As for Big Sandy, their loss dropped their record down to 9-14.

Big Sandy couldn't quite get it done against Alba-Golden in their previous matchup back in April of 2025 as they fell 9-6. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
