Basketball Game Preview: Selkirk Rangers vs. Cusick Panthers

Selkirk is 0-10 against Cusick since June of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Selkirk Rangers are taking a road trip to take on the Cusick Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Last Friday, Selkirk humbled Columbia with a 77-25 victory. That 52 point margin sets a new team best for the Rangers this season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Cusick faced off against Columbia on Saturday. Cusick blew past Columbia, posting an 81-26 win. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matches by 25 points or more this season.

The victory made it two in a row for Selkirk and bumps their season record up to 8-10. As for Cusick, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.

Selkirk came up short against Cusick when the teams last played last Thursday, falling 69-60. Can Selkirk avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
