Basketball Recap: Mount St. Joseph's Undefeated Season over After Seven Games

If Mount St. Joseph was feeling good fresh off their 93-42 takedown of Archbishop Curley on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Gaels took a 70-66 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. Frances Academy Panthers on Monday. The contest marked the Gaels' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Mount St. Joseph fell to 6-1. As for St. Frances Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.

Coincidentally, Mount St. Joseph and St. Frances Academy will both be playing Archbishop Spalding the next time they take the court. The Gaels will host the Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Panthers will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
