Heartland posted their closest win since September 13, 2024 on Saturday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Overland Christian Eagle. That's the fourth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 2-0 victory last Saturday.

Savannah Vazquez paced Heartland's offense, picking up nine kills. Vazquez got some help from Sarah Archibald and her nine assists. Finally, Vazquez was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high nine blocks.

Heartland's win bumped their record up to 11-25-1. As for Overland Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Heartland nor Overland Christian have any future games scheduled.
