Softball Recap: Peniel Baptist Academy Warriors vs. Crescent City Raiders

Peniel Baptist Academy put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. Everything went their way against the Crescent City Raiders as the Peniel Baptist Academy Warriors made off with a 21-5 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Peniel Baptist Academy.

Alexis Peacock was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits. Peacock has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive pitching appearances. Peacock was even better at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with four RBI, two runs, and a stolen base.

In other batting news, Peniel Baptist Academy got a massive performance out of Shanley Jenkins, who scored two runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Zurn, who scored three runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.

On Crescent City's side, Alyssa Allmon was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing five bases while going 1-for-2.
