Basketball Recap: McKinney North Find Success

McKinney North won the last time they faced DeSoto and Jada Square did her part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs walked away with a 55-44 victory over the Eagles on Thursday with plenty of help from Square, who shot 45% from the field en route to 24 points and six boards. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of McKinney North's points.

Tiyana Alexander was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 11 points and nine rebounds. She continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.

McKinney North now has a winning record of 4-3. As for DeSoto, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-3.

McKinney North wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 44-26 loss against Highland Park on the 20th. As for DeSoto, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 56-38 win against Plano on the 20th.
