Volleyball Recap: Greeley West Spartans vs. Windsor Wizards
Greeley West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They came up short against the Windsor Wizards, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wizards this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-2, 25-7, 25-4.
Faith Karnitz paced Greeley West's offense, picking up two kills. Karnitz got some help from Laney Palmer and her five assists.
Windsor was led to victory by Avery Smiley and Jasmine White. Smiley had nine digs and seven aces, while White had 15 assists and eight digs. Those seven aces gave Smiley a new career-high.
Greeley West's loss dropped their record down to 2-21. As for Windsor, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.
Greeley West does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Windsor, they will face off against Legend at 8:00 a.m. on Friday.
