Basketball Recap: Chippewa Valley Takes a Loss

Chippewa Valley was the 49-30 winner over Lincoln when they last played one another back in February of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. The Chippewa Valley Big Reds lost to the Lincoln Abes on the road by a 78-60 margin on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (56), the Big Reds still had to take the loss.

Chippewa Valley's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 10-2. As for Lincoln, their win was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Chippewa Valley will head out to challenge Grosse Pointe South at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Chippewa Valley's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four contests. As for Lincoln, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 62-58 defeat against Northview on the 11th.
