Basketball Recap: Oxbridge Academy Comes Up Short

Oxbridge Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They lost 59-38 to the Boca Raton Bobcats. The match marked the ThunderWolves' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Despite the loss, Oxbridge Academy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Jayden St. Fort went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of James Deyoung, who posted 11 points.

Oxbridge Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Boca Raton, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.

Oxbridge Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-41 loss against Dr. Joaquin Garcia on the 28th. As for Boca Raton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 58-36 defeat against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy on the 28th.
