Softball Game Preview: Diagonal Maroons vs. Twin Cedars Sabers

Diagonal is 0-4 against Twin Cedars since June of 2016 but things could change on Friday. The Maroons are headed away from home for the first time to take on the Sabers at 5:30 p.m.

Diagonal is leaving town to face Twin Cedars after disappointing their home crowd in their season opener. The Maroons fell 9-6 to Seymour on Thursday.

Meanwhile, while Twin Cedars put up plenty of runs on Thursday, the same can't be said for Melcher-Dallas. The Sabers were the clear victors by a 12-0 margin over the Saints. The Sabers' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Diagonal might still be hurting after the 15-0 loss they got from Twin Cedars in their previous meeting back in June of 2020. Can the Maroons avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
