Christian (8 Man) recap Oct. 23, 2012

New Life Christian took down Flint Hill Christian 56-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Logan Jozwiak threw for 39 yards and two touchdowns in the win.

New Life Christian led Christian (8 Man) in scoring this week after putting up 56 points on the Flames. Jozwiak in the win.

Victory Christian's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Bryer Bolton threw for 86 and 42 touchdowns and Sean Meadows had 83 yards receiving. On the ground Anthony Sharp chipped in 203 yards. Cody Bolton helped Victory Christian's passing attack out by catching one ball for 21 yards.

Tuscaloosa Christian's Jordan Potter and Caleb Waddell have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Potter has thrown for 996 yards this season, while Waddell, a 5-foot-9 receiver, has 24 catches for 343 yards. Tabernacle's Judd Sims leads the league in rushing yards with 823.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between the Torches and Jason Owens' team. Tabernacle comes into the matchup ranked second in the state, while New Life Christian ranks 10th.

The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Wayne Dabbs' team takes on New Life Christian. The Torches have allowed 182 points this season, while New Life Christian has given up 190. Tabernacle allowed 56 points last week as it fell to Hope Christian.

Sharp broke off the longest rushing play in Christian (8 Man) this week with a 74-yard scamper against the Warriors.
