Volleyball Recap: Newport Christian Victorious

Newport Christian's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against First Baptist by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Newport Christian had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-23.

The win got Newport Christian back to even at 3-3. As for First Baptist, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Looking ahead, Newport Christian will square off against San Gabriel Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. First Baptist does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
