Football Recap: Wichita Defenders Homeschool Starts Season with Win Against Kansas City East Christian Academy

Wichita Defenders HomeSchool had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 48-16 victory over the Kansas City East Christian Academy Lions. The Defenders pushed the score to 36-8 by the end of the third, a deficit the Lions had little chance of recovering from.

Kansas City East Christian Academy now has a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wichita Defenders HomeSchool will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cornerstone at 1:00 p.m. on the 27th. As for Kansas City East Christian Academy, they will square off against Blue Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
