Football Game Preview: Calabasas Coyotes vs. El Segundo Eagles + Official Tickets

The Calabasas Coyotes will face off against the El Segundo Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Calabasas has given up an average of 32.5 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Calabasas is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 42 points last Friday, they were much more limited against Westlake on Thursday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 35-10. The Coyotes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-0.

Meanwhile, after a string of four wins, El Segundo's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell just short of West by a score of 31-28. The defensive woes were uncharacteristic for the Eagles, who until this contest were averaging 13.9 points allowed.

Calabasas will have to contain Lincoln Quaintance as he made an impact in El Segundo's last game. He rushed for 178 yards and four scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Quaintance showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 50 yards. Ryan Wiacek helped out on the ground, rushing for 102 yards.

El Segundo's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-2. As for Calabasas, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
