Volleyball Game Preview: Polson Pirates vs. Columbia Falls Wildcats

Polson has gone 8-2 against Columbia Falls recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pirates will challenge the Wildcats at 7:15 p.m. Polson is coming into the contest hot, having won their last seven games.

If Browning wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Polson, they should've done a better job of containing Rylee Taylor-Jefferson. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Indians on Tuesday thanks in part to Taylor-Jefferson, who had 15 assists and four aces. She has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more assists the last three times she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Polson took every set by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-15, 25-8.

Meanwhile, Columbia Falls got the win against Libby on Tuesday by a conclusive 3-0.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-17, 25-12.

Columbia Falls found their leader in sophomore Ava Scholz, who had 13 digs and three aces.

Polson's record now sits at 9-2. As for Columbia Falls, their record is now 11-6-1.

Polson beat Columbia Falls 3-1 when the teams last played back in September. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
