Basketball Recap: Littleton Gets the Win

If Prairie View wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Littleton, they should've done a better job of containing Emma Bird. The Littleton Lions put the hurt on the Prairie View Thunderhawks with a sharp 58-35 win on Friday thanks in part to Bird, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in boards.

Loss or not, Prairie View got some senior leadership from Elizabeth Scaff and Evelyn Ramirez. Scaff posted 11 points, while Ramirez put up eight points.

The victory got Littleton back to even at 1-1. As for Prairie View, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Littleton didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 35-33 defeat against Pueblo County on the 7th. As for Prairie View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 46-42 loss against Dakota Ridge on the 7th.
