Basketball Game Preview: Evergreen Vikings vs. Liberty Center Tigers

The Evergreen Vikings will venture away from home to challenge the Liberty Center Tigers at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Evergreen will be strutting in after a victory while Liberty Center will be coming in after a loss.

Last Monday, Evergreen didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lake, but they still walked away with a 45-41 win.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Liberty Center faced off against Delta on Tuesday. Liberty Center took a 48-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of Delta. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 422nd, while the Panthers are ranked 83rd).

Liberty Center now has a losing record at 10-11. As for Evergreen, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-10.

Evergreen ended up a good deal behind Liberty Center in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, losing 46-31. Can Evergreen avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
