Basketball Recap: Cape Fear Academy Falls to St. David's in First Game of Season

Cape Fear Academy kicked off their season on the road on Friday and hit a couple of potholes. They took a 51-46 hit to the loss column at the hands of the St. David's Warriors. The Hurricanes were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Warriors apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in November of 2024.

Cape Fear Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Milo? Pavlicic, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 16 points in addition to six boards and three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Treyvon Robinson, who posted eight points and five steals.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cape Fear Academy will square off against Wilmington Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for St. David's, they will face off against Arendell Parrott Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
