Easton Malone Game Report: @ Brownfield

For the first time ever, Easton Malone turned in triple-digit rushing yards on Friday. He rushed for 144 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries, helping propel Merkel past Brownfield by a score of 47-14. We rated that as his best effort of the season, easily topping his previous best, set on August 29th, when he threw for 312 yards and four TDs while picking up 13.0 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 31 yards and one score (Gamescore: 60.2333333333333 vs. 45.8).

Malone and Merkel are on the road again on Friday to play Wall at 7:00 p.m. The contest will pit Malone up against the Hawks' star quarterback Landon York.
