Window Rock lost to Chinle back in April of 2025, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Tuesday. The Fighting Scouts came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 9-6. That's two games straight that the Fighting Scouts have won by exactly three runs.
McKayla Young was excellent, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. Ryleigh Owens also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
The win made it two in a row for Window Rock and bumps their season record up to 3-4-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Chinle, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.
Looking ahead, Window Rock will square off against Casa Grande at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Chinle, they will head out to take on Pinon at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
