Volleyball Recap: Los Alamitos Takes a Loss

Los Alamitos was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to the Fountain Valley Barons. Surprisingly, this marked the sixth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Los Alamitos was not able to win a set, but it sure wasn't from a lack of trying: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 26-24, 25-22, 25-22.

Los Alamitos' loss dropped their record down to 15-12. As for Fountain Valley, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-8 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Los Alamitos is set to challenge their familiar foe Marina at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Fountain Valley will square off against rival Corona del Mar at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
