Baseball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Wednesday just wasn't the day for Centennial's offense. They lost 11-0 to the Putnam Kingsmen on Wednesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Kingsmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 4-2 on Tuesday.

Centennial has also been struggling recently as they've lost ten of their last 13 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-16 record this season. As for Putnam, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-16.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Centennial will host North Salem at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.62 runs per game on average), something the Eagles will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Putnam, they will be playing at home against Parkrose at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
