Heartland can bid farewell to their five-match losing streak thanks to their match on Saturday. They came out on top against the Overland Christian Eagle by a score of 2-0. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Eagle back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.

Savannah Vazquez paced Heartland's offense, picking up three kills. Vazquez got some help from Sarah Archibald and her four assists. Giovanna Martinez controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Heartland's win bumped their record up to 10-16. As for Overland Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Heartland does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Overland Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Center Place at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
