Elkhorn Valley's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-0. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.6 points per game. As for Creighton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-10.

Everything went Elkhorn Valley's way against Creighton in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, as Elkhorn Valley made off with a 57-31 win. In that matchup, Elkhorn Valley amassed a halftime lead of 31-10, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
