Football Recap: Blessed Trinity Titans vs. Stockbridge Tigers

With a playoff win on the line, Blessed Trinity rose to the challenge on Friday. They slipped by the Stockbridge Tigers 28-27.

Blessed Trinity found their leader in sophomore MJ Craft, who rushed for 140 yards and two scores on only 12 carries.

Blessed Trinity was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Stockbridge only rushed for 76.

Blessed Trinity didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Ryder Register and Brody Bohannon.

Stockbridge's loss came despite strong showings from Gavin Kinchen and Joshua Scott. Kinchen picked up 190 receiving yards and three touchdowns, while Scott threw for 486 yards and four TDs. A healthy portion of that aerial production (146 yards to be exact) also went to Zyon Robinson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Blessed Trinity is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 14.5 points on average over those games. As for Stockbridge, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-3 record.

Blessed Trinity didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 28-10 loss against Marist on the 21st. Stockbridge does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
