Basketball Recap: Rowlett Takes a Loss

Rowlett saw some tournament action on Saturday. They were dealt an 84-47 defeat at the hands of the Crowley Eagles. While losing is never fun, Rowlett can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 461st, while Crowley is ranked 76th).

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jaydan Banks, who posted six points and nine rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Justin Adkison, who earned 16 points.

Rowlett has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Crowley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-8.

Rowlett wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 67-57 win against North Garland on the 31st. As for Crowley, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 55-54 victory against Boswell on the 31st.
