Prospect Ridge Academy is headed into the matchup out to prove that what happened against Colorado Academy on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Prospect Ridge Academy had to suffer through a 61-32 loss at the hands of Colorado Academy. The Miners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-8.

Prospect Ridge Academy's defeat came about despite a quality game from Amelia Waggoner, who went 8 of 16 en route to 22 points and eight boards. That was a full 68.8% of Prospect Ridge Academy's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points.

The Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Prospect Ridge Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 3-9.

Everything came up roses for Prospect Ridge Academy against The Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 63-32 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Prospect Ridge Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
