Basketball Recap: Washington Catholic Comes Up Short

Washington Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They were outmatched by the Georgetown-Ridge Farm Buffaloes and fell 50-18.

Washington Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Georgetown-Ridge Farm, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington Catholic will venture away from home to challenge Providence Cristo Rey at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Georgetown-Ridge Farm and Cissna Park will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Cissna Park's defense has only allowed 24.8 points per game this season, so Georgetown-Ridge Farm's offense will have their work cut out for them.
