Volleyball Recap: Make It Three in a Row for Rich

With a playoff win on the line, Rich rose to the challenge on Friday. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Monticello Buckaroo. The victory was familiar territory for the Rebels, who have now won three contests in a row.

Rich had a senior duo take command as Paige Smith had 41 digs and four aces and Tess Cornia had 30 assists and ten digs. Smith is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Rich was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matchups.

Rich's win bumped their record up to 17-11. As for Monticello, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-10.

Rich has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against St. Joseph on the 25th. As for Monticello, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Tintic on the 25th.
