Basketball Game Preview: Duchesne Eagles vs. St. Joseph Jayhawks

Having just played yesterday, the Duchesne Eagles will jump right back in to play the St. Joseph Jayhawks at 11:10 a.m. on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

Duchesne heads in on the heels of a playoff game on Thursday. They fell just short of Draper APA by a score of 38-35. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss Duchesne has suffered since December 21, 2024.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 55 points the game before, St. Joseph was a bit more limited in their match on Thursday. They were dealt a 61-25 defeat at the hands of North Summit. While losing is never fun, the Jayhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Utah basketball rankings (they are ranked 75th, while the Braves are ranked seventh).

Duchesne's loss dropped their record down to 17-8. As for St. Joseph, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-6.
