Basketball Recap: Cottage Comes Up Short

Cottage played a tough game on Wednesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They had to suffer through a 63-30 loss at the hands of Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Cougars have suffered since January 9th.

Cottage's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grace Workman, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 11 boards. Workman is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Gabby Pressnall, who posted nine points along with eight rebounds and three steals.

Cottage's loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Looking ahead, Cottage will host Varsity Opponent at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Excel Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
