Basketball Recap: Sports Leadership & Management Now 9-1 over Last Ten Games

With a playoff win on the line, Sports Leadership & Management rose to the challenge on Wednesday. They blew past the Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions 65-44. Given Sports Leadership & Management's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while Immaculata-La Salle is ranked 556th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Sports Leadership & Management was led to victory by Ethan Taylor and Carlos Duarte. Taylor dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten boards, while Duarte went 6 for 11 on his way to 16 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. The contest was Taylor's third in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Wesley Inigo, who posted six points and five steals.

Sports Leadership & Management is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-10 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.6 points per game. As for Immaculata-La Salle, their loss dropped their record down to 9-13.

Sports Leadership & Management will take on Gulliver Prep on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive. Immaculata-La Salle does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
