Elba took a 15-run loss the last time they faced off against McKenzie, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. Elba sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over McKenzie on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for Elba as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Elba's win was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Payton Parks, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI. Parks is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another was Chloe Russell, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Elba's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for McKenzie, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Coincidentally, Elba and McKenzie will both be playing Red Level the next time they take the field. Elba will head out to face Red Level at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, while McKenzie will play them later in the day, at 10:00 p.m.
