Volleyball Recap: Isabelle Anderson Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Mt. Madonna + How To Watch

Oakwood hadn't done well against Mt. Madonna recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Oakwood blew past Mt. Madonna 3-0. This was payback for Oakwood, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Oakwood not only won, but also showed off some consistency: they kept Mt. Madonna between 15 and 17 points across their sets. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-15, 25-17.

Oakwood's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isabelle Anderson, who had eight digs, six aces, and one block. That's the most aces Anderson has posted since back in October of 2024. Nalani Goulart was another key player, getting 15 digs and seven aces.

The win got Oakwood back to even at 1-1.

Oakwood has already played their next matchup, a 3-2 defeat against University Prep Academy on the 3rd. As for Mt. Madonna, they will square off against Pajaro Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
