Martins Ferry entered their tilt with Shenandoah on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came out on top against the Zeps by a score of 3-1.

Giana Chirpas paced Martins Ferry's offense, picking up 20 kills. Chirpas got some help from Olivia Harkness and her 41 assists. Finally, Chirpas was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high eight blocks.

When it comes to explaining why Shenandoah lost, don't look at Shayla Holcomb. Despite the final result, she had 23 digs. Holcomb is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 14 or more in each of the last seven games she's played.

Martins Ferry's victory bumped their record up to 17-5. As for Shenandoah, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-4 record this season.
