Volleyball Recap: Faith Connell Leads a Balanced Effort to Beat Agua Fria

There's no place like home for Cactus, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They blew past the Agua Fria Owls 3-0 on Wednesday. The Cobras haven't had any issues with the Owls recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Cactus was: they took every set by at least 11 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-12, 25-12.

Cactus got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Faith Connell out in front who had ten digs and four aces. Connell has been hot recently, having posted ten or more digs the last three times she's played.

Connell wasn't the only good servers: Cactus was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 21 aces. The Cobras are a perfect 14-0 when they serve at least ten aces.

Cactus' record now sits at 16-3. As for Agua Fria, they dropped their record down to 1-23 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Coincidentally, Cactus and Agua Fria will both be playing Peoria the next time they take the court. The Cobras will head out to face the Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday, while the Owls will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
